Back to University

Back in 2015 I decided that I would take a break from travelling for gigs and limit my live efforts to the London area. I therefore decided this was the right time to do something I’d been pondering over for a long time: going back to uni!!

And so I became a student again and spent the last three years studying for a degree in music at ICMP in London. I’m proud to say that I got a First Class Honours!!!

As you would expect, it’s been a crazy and exciting journey, one in which I met some amazing teachers and students. After many years teaching students of all ages and levels, it was bizarre to be one of the pupils again. I loved the experience and I’m sure it has made me a better teacher and performer.

All through this journey, I’ve also found the time and the energy to do some 180+ shows a year. Trust me when I say it was intense, but it was also extremely gratifying.
