LIVE GIGS OFF, LIVE STREAM ON

In the last few weeks I’ve done a couple of live streams on Facebook. the first one was a reaction to seeing my friends and relatives in Italy being locked down. Some of the videos I was were truly inspiring. Opera singers singing arias on their balcony, people playing tennis across rooftops and some of my ex bandmates singing or playing their instruments to their neighbours.

My first live stream came about as an emotional reaction to what I was seeing. It was primarily aimed at my fellow Italians, hence the repertoire that included some Italian songs. I enjoyed the experience so much that I repeated it the following week. It helps me keeping the live flame alive, and hopefully it gives joy to the viewers. You’ll find tat I play more covers than I would normally do. This is intentional, because the main purpose is to keep people entertained and happy. I still squeeze in a few originals though.
